I dont like the sound from the Magnaflow 14 I have. I want something with more dbs and the thump you get from a chambered muffler like Flowmaster. Contacted them via FB, and the recommended the Super 40 for my setup. Any ideas/suggestions?

I swear by ****** Aerochambers. They have a better tone than Flowmasters. Give one a shot. I promise you'll love it.

^^ If you're looking for the raspy evil sound, I must also endorse the AeroChamber.

I had one (briefly) on my '00 Ram. Holy race car!

You still have catalytics..? Those smooth out the exhaust a LOT.

I have the flowmaster on mine. It was too mellow so I cut off the resonators. Sounds great now!
Might be worth a try before buying a new muffler.

i would drop the resonators, and leave the 14 in place. I think you will like the result.

ive had my fair share of flowmasters. they always sound bad ass at first, but then the drone just gets more and more annoying. i always ended up with a magnaflow in the end, lol. do yourself a favor and get a cut out. loud when you want it.

Just remember exhaust can be a give or take situation. Magnaflow will flow considerably better than FlowMaster, but if you like the sound of a chambered muffler, than FlowMaster is one of many to look at.

I can't fault you for trying, but when I had FM on my F150, it droned like a mother which led me to the larger 24" MF on my RAM. I don't want L-O-U-D though. I want people to know what's under the hood. Nothing more.

I like my Super 44, the 40 series is too quiet IMO and the super 10 seems too loud for me. I have mine set up with the resonators still in place and its a nice deep rumble but gets very loud when I jump on it.

Love my flowmaster. I still can't get over how loud it can be when I want it to be yet it's quiet on the highway. It does NOT drone like the typical flowmaster (trust me I've had lots of fast cars with chambered mufflers, mostly flowmaster). I went with the 40 series. My buddy has a 14" magnaflow and it's ok but I'm not a big fan. I had a borla before the flowmaster and it was too quiet for my taste.

I still haven't heard a better sounding Ram than mine with the Delta 40. No drone, mild sound while cruising and nasty loud when you get on it.
