After reading one of the members post about first mod I ordered one. Well after researching I've found nothing but bad about them. About to send it back to Amazon before installing. Before I do has anyone had any success with reliability with these tools?

100% agree!
I think the problems arise from people not reading the directions and winging it on the install.

If you don't get the nutsert installed correctly it will be pointless, just need a bit of common sense when installing it I think.

I have the DZ solution on both my RAMs and never one issue. The difference is, I followed the installation instructions. Seriously, all the negatives comments I've read can be associated directly with the lack of following the instructions. Quite frankly I am mystified since the instructions are rather simple and include pictures. They even provide the thread lock, you just have to use it.

When they first offered the product for the 2013 RAMs, they had an issue with a washer but they quickly updated their kit and also replaced my kit free of charge.

Absolutely zero problems with mine. Highly recommend it. Like previously stated, just follow the directions.

I love mine, but I made a thread about the issues with my install. I found out that the 3rd gen kit is different from the 4th gen kit.

I say get it, install it (per the directions) and be happy that your tailgate drops nicely.

I'm on my third one, On 3 different trucks Love it. There has been no paint scrub on mine

Mine is awesome the only problem I have had at all is when it's really cold mine froze up short of that no issues at all

Had mine 6 months with no issues. Just follow install instructions. Great, inexpensive mod.

the DeeZee is the single best bang for your buck. My 08 Tundra came with the tail gate damper from the factory so when I went to a RAM was really sad to see it didn't have one or even offer one as an option. As soon as I saw DeeZee made one, it went on. My 1500 did have a lot of pain scrub. my 2500, nothing yet.
