Well, after months of comparing, fretting, worrying, running numbers etc, I bought a '19 2500 Tradesman with the 6.4 Hemi. Couldn't be happier with my decision. Picked it up used with 13k miles on it. I drive about 3500 mostly highway miles a month and on paper that screams diesel but I was wary of all the new emissions crap and trouble people have been reporting and I didn't want to risk breaking down in the middle of nowhere. So, I ran the numbers and based on my situation (needs, driving habits and diesel is roughly .75 cents a gallon more than gas in my area), I went gas. After about 3000 miles I'm averaging 16.8 mpg. I got 18.4 on the 1 hour 45 min ride home on Thursday with the cruise set on 74 the entire way. That ride is usually gets around 17-ish but I had a tail wind. The '14 F150 with 200,000 miles on it that I traded was at 17.7 mpg lifetime. So overall I'm very pleased with the purchase. This coming from a die-hard Ford guy who swore he would never have a Dodge product. I'm sold on my Ram!
Congratulations! I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine.
