Different brake bulbs?

So, I was just looking around at random parts and noticed a listing for the brake light bulbs. Listed as 3157 for the 2 headlight option, and 3057 for the 4 light option. I never would think that the tail light sections were different, but perhaps I missed something. I currently have the 2 light, and was about to install some 4 light OEM because I like having separate bulbs.

Is there actually a different tail light housing between the headlight models as well?

If not, why is one 3157 and one 3057?

I am also looking at the Tail Light bulbs, I was looking to go RED LED ! But seems to be common with Hyper flashing !
Wanted brighter brak /turn signal buld, And with RED less bleaching out of the RED lends FYI !
So that is what I found out abut LEDs in case you think of going that way
When I was searching for info on bulbs I found this about 3057 and 3157. The are basically the same, just a small difference in currant draw
