Direct fit muffler

Want to upgrade my muffler and was considering the Flowmaster American Thunder. My mechanic said it’s garbage ! Anyone have one or can suggest one without breaking the bank ? TYIA.

Mufflex has a selection depending on how loud you want, direct bolt on.

So I wouldn’t need to change the piping ? I want it on the quieter side while doing normal driving but would like it to pop when opened up !

No you don’t have to change the piping. It’s basically a Magnaflow muffler fitted to replace the factory muffler. Bolts right into place using factory hangers and clamps. They have 3 options as far as muffler size. The smaller the muffler the louder it is.

I would go Carven over any other direct bolt in option. they are high quality, great sounding, and offer some great looking tips if you want to go 5" and change up the look. the tips also add a deeper tone!

I like my carven progressive. Some people with more sensitive ears have told me it was to loud for them on the highway but otherwise it sounds awesome. Direct fit. I did it myself in 20 minutes then just loosen the stock tips to realign them in the bumper

I have the American Thunder Flowmaster with Flowmaster tips and I like it a lot rumble when you get an it but never annoying.
