Those are on national backorder?

From what I've gathered, yes. With no known ETA. I tried 3 parts companies and all refunded my $$ the next day because the modules are unavailable. Positive is I got to see everything hooked up and working, just with the wrong module and no cold A/C.

In fairness to them they did a great job designing the bezel, the volume thing a little hokey and the price crazy. But at the time it was the best looking solution on the market. In all honesty one thing I preferred with that set up was the HVAC controls. While not as cool looking as the touchscreen ones they were much easier to use.

You could sell it someone will buy it as some folks do not want to install the conversion harness etc. I bought the one without the volume control, 150.00 for a piece of plastic, but it did fit and look OEM. I wound up selling it to a member on here with an extra set of steering wheel controls for 125.00, nice deal for both of us. I got rid of what I did not need and he got what he needed to add the RA4.
Fair enough...

I was finally able to find the Module after a few attempts. Part# 68183973AC

68183973AC - Genuine Mopar CONTROL-A/C AND HEATER

I ordered mine last week and received it earlier this week. I emailed them prior to ordering and confirmed it was in stock.

Part# 68183973AC looks like it is being replaces with Part# 68236772AB

These 3 dealers may have that part in stock.

If I have no luck with the above link I'll give a couple of those places a call. The new parts just keep going up in $ lol. I found a module on eBay from a 2500 that has the 8.4. I'm nto sure if it would work since I don't recognize the PN on it. The PN listed is 68186216AB. I'm nto trying to buy a second module I can't use

Same thing they told me and I ordered, I was really expecting them to tell me it was out of stock but then I got my shipping notice.

The factory location for the module is actually on the far right side of the dash. Some people like having the module there, and some don't mind just having the module behind the radio. Length is 12" for standard and 52" for extended.

I just sent Brian "Cgeorgemo" an email about OEMautopartco using his DIY post on their website. I am curious if he gave them permission to do this. I know its in the public domain, but pretty much scumbag territory to use someone else's intellectual property and photographs for their own selfish personal gain. While it may or may not be legal to do so it certainly is not the moral to do, unless you grant permission.

Not sure if he will reply and may be he may be inactive on the site as he has not posted since 8/15.

So I put in my order earlier to MoparPartsGiant from the link. It kicked back about an hour ago saying that they don't have that and that it is replaced by the new part# listed (68236772AB). They wanted an extra $44 bucks. Canceled and just ordered the new part3 elsewhere for about 30 bucks cheaper. What a PITA.

Wow that new part is kind of expensive compared to what it replaced, cheapest I found it was 112.00, the old one was like 70.00. But at least you do not have to buy the additional mopar harness and the resistor like us guys that have the 4 speed OEM set up.

My thoughts exactly. That's why I have that part I talked to you about. I tried to go cheap and clearly wasn't thinking correctly. Ya live ya learn. I just keep telling myself "it will be worth it, it will be worth it, serenity now, serenity now" hahaha.

You have a 7 speed. The correct way to tell is look at your truck and count how many speeds the fan has and see if it is 7 or 4.
This is assuming you have a 1500.
