Thats the Video that inspired my Ram debadge last year. Frog's the Man. Tried the fishing line on the Magnum Molding yesterday and it cutstraught thru the molding then broke, but my fault it was skinny 6lb test! Used the heat gun and peeled her off slowly then the dbadge wheel. Dental floss worked good though for the badges.

Did it to my Charger, spray some Goo Gone around the badge or molding you're trying to remove before you hit it with the fishing line. You won't have so much to buff off. You'll still have to give her a wash, but it makes quicker work of the separation process.

I used naphtha (bought at home depot) soaked the badges for 10 mins, then fishing lined them. After that you can pretty much pull them off by hand. Pull the 3m tape up and away from the tape itself. It looks wierd pulling it in a different direction but the tape comes right off! Leaves almost no residue. I cleaned the rest off with a microfiber towel and soapy water.

I want to debadge my truck but am worried about possible discoloration of paint behind the badges. Do you think this is something i should be worried about?
