I usually run my 2014 Ram Sport 5.7 Hemi on cruise when on country highways. Was out in a hellacious windstorm, both against and away from wind direction. A route I drive a couple of times a week. Very odd ECO reading performance. Any input?

Considering these trucks have aerodynamics slightly better than a cinder block, the amount of wind can effect how much an engine has to work to push the vehicle down the road. The "Eco" reading on these trucks is efficiency read out, having to work against the wind would be lower efficiency.
I've watched both fuel consumption and boost pressure changes while driving against and with the wind on the same section of road.

I see here that you either were or are an ACME engineer. Did you ever have any interaction with Coyote, or the Roadrunner? ;)

I can neither confirm or deny any involvement with Warner Bros due to NDAs.
I will state from watching the cartoons that someone didn't read the directions (or didn't get them)and someone else had inside knowledge on how to to defeat the products in use.

Being retired, I get to watch MeTV Toons in the morning and see all the oldies, including a healthy dose of the Road Runner and Wile E. Coyote, one of the best cartoon series ever. One of the best benefits of being retired is that I get a daily dose of them. Even while traveling, I've got a streaming subscription on my iPad that is connected via WiFi or cell. I never have to worry about missing the show. My wife thinks I'm nuts.

Sad thing is that the cartoons from that (my) era are LOOOOONG gone from a production POV. Heck, if they did produce them today, they would have to be a "Graphic and Adult Content Warning, Viewer Discretion Advised" prior to the start of "...the Show"

I'm actually surprised that there isn't one on those oldies but goodies that are aired today!

From those shows I learnt about physics, chemistry, geography , cuisine , classical music , nature, how to knock “shave and a hair cut”, they were the best, one of the only cartoon shows my Dad would watch with me, timeless classics! (64 retired)

I also learned that there is actually a rooster with arms and hands: Foghorn Leghorn!

I havent used the eco mode in quite awhile. I use my gear limiter to keep it from going into eco mode and I noticed no difference in mpg's lol. Plus id rather everything firing on all cylinders to keep the juices flowing

Worst in the wind as an adult, on the bicycle with a kid trailer behind. Serious exercise!
I always liked a motor on my bikes,
In this country it can be very windy.
I have the same truck and on a average day , My eco light stays on at 120km on the level, any head wind or uphill grade, forget about it. Over all I am very pleased with my milage on this one.
Running around town, I quite often will have it turned off with the gear sector.
