Dome Light

So, I recently purchased a 2018 Ram (Diesel) and can't seem to be bright enough to figure out the dome lights (no pun intended).
In all the vehicles I have EVER owned, the dome lights came on by either unlocking or opening a door, not with Ram though... I have to turn on the ignition for the light to come on. Yes, I know about the on/off switch, but that doesn't want to turn the dome lights on either (except with ignition on)...
Any idea here? Is this something I can adjust with the AlfaODB?

on mine, below the light rotating knob. there is a wheel, that rotates left and right.
If its all the way right, then it is off. One click left, allows the lights to come on when the doors open.
then keep rolling it left, brightens or dims the interior light.
