i have a 2012 ram 1500 4.7l. lately my dash has been lighting up like this, engine is still running. it goes a way if i restart the vehicle.
Yesterday, i tried to start it and had no power to the ignition or accessories, power locks still worked. with the key in the ignition i unlocked the doors from the passenger side and "bam" power. i started the truck, the dash warning lights came on again but it would not let me shift out of park, reluctantly i turned the truck off and it allowed me to restart without the dash lights coming back on. i put it in drive and got home with it. Any thoughts on the problem?

One thing you might want to do is have the battery checked. It a cell is going bad it can cause all kinds of issues with electrical systems.

Start with terminals and testing battery clean all ground connections another common thing to fail is the ignition switch can make the truck do all kinds of stuff.
