I have a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 and I have been trying to find the cause of the ETC light that keeps appearing. I have changed the throttle sensor, the throttle body and the ECM all to no avail. After the new ECM was programmed I drove 300 km no problem and then the light reappeared. Frustrated beyond belief at this point.

Are you currently running a Pedal Commander or some other throttle controller? I know these can sometimes cause problems. I had an issue like this not to long ago and ill I did was disconnect the negative terminal and unplugged the connector at the gas pedal for about 20 minutes. Once I buttoned everything back up in reverse order the light went away. Worth a shot good luck.

You have a vacuum leak. Get a can of Gummout Carb and Choke cleaner and start spraying around the intake and listen for a change in engine tone. You'll know it when you find it.

A vacuum leak? That's a good idea. The light comes on approx. 10 kms after the code has been erased. I'll have the mechanic do a full vacuum system check. Its -45 up here (northern Saskatchewan) so outside work is delayed for a bit :)
