This week, I installed an aftermarket grill on my '18 Ram Express. I also installed illuminated RAM letters on the rebel-style grill. I took the emblem off the factory grill and considered adding it to the new grill. If I were going to do that, I wanted something unique.
I decided to light the eyes of the emblem. I used 2 2 mm red lighthouse LEDs, a buck converter, and an Arduino Nano coded with a fading/breathing effect. I crammed all the components in the hollow body of the emblem and used 18 AWG hookup wire for connection. I need to add to the new grill.
