I have a 2011 ram 2500 6.7L, and I was wondering what are the advantages and disadvantages of doing a turbo back exhaust vs putting a race pipe and muffler delete on the truck?

Essentially it’ll just be noise if you do turbo back straight pipe, or a full system with a muffler tube. Both will do the same for you in the way of flow restrictions or lack there of

Personally I like the cummins with no muffler, and don’t know if I’ve ever really heard one run with an aftermarket muffler

I was just wondering what I should do with it, Bc it’s cheaper to just get a race pipe with dpf delete and a muffler delete and put it on there then a 4 or 5 inch turbo back exhaust

If its not fully deleted it wont do any good.
Untill you pull all the filters off it wont get any louder.

But get all that crap off and if you want a low tone do a TBE with 5" Flo Pro, the 5" gives it a lower tone over 4" but no real power difference.

Drove mine for a week with just a 4 foot pipe off the turbo after doing a 2nd gen header and turbo kit and it was not really that loud.
