The connector is at the bottom of the box, so no you really can't...

Thanks bro. Gonna have to drag out the impact wrench then. Those damn 18mm bolts are in there pretty good!
I installed the kicker sub upgrade and now have both playing.
Will it sound better once I remove the factory one?

It's a pain to remove.

If you have the Kicker sub as well, then yes it will sound better. That factory sub is pitiful...

For reference, here are a couple of pictures showing the factory sub. Connections is underneath. The two 18mm bolts were tight.
