So I posted a few days ago about a factory order I did April 14th. 1500 bighorn, 4x4, level 2 equipment, night edition, in granite crystal. I left a deposit with the dealer but was given nothing in return. Two weeks later the salesman stopped responding to me and now I can’t get any of the management to help me. I have no vin and no von and don’t even know if the truck was actually ordered. My next step will be to go down there and raise hell and just get my deposit back. In the mean time I had some advice here and was given info for a salesman who actually got me a really great deal. 12% off MSRP plus rebates and 0% financing. Want to say thanks to the people here for the advice and referrals Aaron Ginsburgh at mark dodge made this process so much easier I already have an order number from him and all the details. If you need anything shop around, but definitely at least get a quote from him. [email protected] and let him know Steve from ram forum sent you. After all is said and done he’s saving me about 6k compared to anyone else in my state. Vehicle is being delivered here as well.

Sounds like your local dealership more than dropped the ball on that one. It's good to hear that Aaron took good care of you. Now comes the waiting.

I went in to my local dealership yesterday to talk about placing an order. Sales rep told me that they were no longer able to take orders on 2021 models, and I'd have to wait 2 to 3 weeks to place an order for a 2022 model. It's awful early for the model year change-over. By like 3 months. Now I'm trying to decide whether to wait and place an order, then wait for who knows how long, or purchase a 2021 I found with everything I'm wanting that's about 3 hours away from me. I hate to wait so I'm leaning towards the latter. Plus, I haven't heard anything definite on any new features the 2022 models will have.

@mikeru i just placed my order with Aaron this morning. everything is squared away. I lose out on the two weeks I've been waiting through the other dealership, but i also got a much better deal.

Sorry you had to go through that with the first dealer, but glad to hear you ended up better overall with Aaron. That guy gets a lot of business for the sole fact that he knows how to conduct business. Sad that they are so few and far between.

They were being truthful about taking orders for 2022 models

They normally begin building the new vehicles after July 1 every year
( July to September has been common for the last several years )

The larger Rental companies like Hertz make large fleet orders about now
......................................................

*Due to multiple plant assignments and model configurations, some model lines may have variable final order and startup dates.
  • Please submit orders to ARI at least three business days prior to the final order due date.
  • Final order dates, startup dates and order bank opening dates are tentative and may change without notice.

April 8th was the final date for fleet businesses to order 2021 Rams, ordering sometimes is a bit later for dealerships to get their orders in.

July 4th for the new body style Rams & the HD Rams & July 31st for the Ram 1500(DS) Quad and Crew Cab (old body style)
are the final production dates for the 2021 models

The Fleet Order Companies have not as yet been told when they can begin ordering the 2022 Rams

The dealerships will know before the Fleet Companies get a date

I agree, hard to find legitimate guys like that.
