Brand new 15 ram 2500 big horn with 1500 miles and I have a vibration. Back to the dealer and they "balance" the tires, in 15 minutes. Needless to say they were not all done. I bring it to a tire shop and have them road force balanced. Guy says 2 of them can't balance and two balance but are out of shape. Firestone will only warranty 2 tires on a new vehicle. My 6 year old is in the back seat saying daddy my but is vibrating. Change to spare and vibration is gone. Now I call Firestone and they say they will not warranty the other 2 because it is "cause and effect" it's chryslers problem. Chrysler says its fires tones problem because is manufacturer defect. They told me I would have to buy two rear tires on my dime. But offered 2 free oil changes for my trouble. Lmao. Thank god my dealer went to bat and out of their pocket got the other two tires. Both Firestone and Chrysler said it was my problem! THERE IS NO CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM CORPORATIONS! thanks to warwick dodge in NY for stepping up. Although they ride nice I will never touch a Firestone product again. And will never recommend them!!! Firestone transfixed at suck!!

Sorry to hear that.

My old man had a blowout years ago. He swore up and down, he would never, never, never put another Firestone on any of his cars.... He still hasn't. I've put on Bridgestone's on my vehicles (Bridgestone owns Firestone) and I like them (Dueler AT-S Revo for the truck--just not a long life tire; and Blizzaks W-80 on the wife's car)

I've never had a problem with OEM tires. But from what I hear, it's pretty common that "pass the buck" is played between the vehicle manufacturer and the tire manufacturer.

I love love love love the Firestone Destination MTs. Had them in 315/70r17s on an '08 Jeep JK Unlimited. They kick ass on the trail, going up 3-4 ft water falls, over basketball size boulders in creek beds, in the mud, etc. On the road they gripped surprisingly well in wet weather for an MT. I had 30K miles on my last set and still had about 50% tread left, which really surprised me.

I like the Bridgestone AT Revos a lot, too.

Right now I'm running Nittos because Firestone & Bridgestone don't run the size I want for me 20" wheels.

The Firestone's that came stock on my 2500 are without a doubt the worst tires I've ever driven on. I'm about 1500 miles in on new tires and I had no idea just how well this truck can handle/drive. They were worn down to the tread bars at 29K. Knowing what I know now I wish it would have been sooner.

Can honestly say that the wear on the Firestone was about as poor as any I've seen. That said, they handled the loads I put on them and were quiet and the truck handled well through the mountains as well on ice and snow. The Mechelin that I replaced with, have lees that 500 miles, have more road noise, but other than that, won't fault them. Hope I can get at least 40k from them though and get the winter handling on icy, snowy roads. Sure I will see soon.

The transforce at's that came on my 3500 are terrible. They feel like I'm driving on cement tires. Could be the size though, 285/60r20s. I'll be swapping to michellin and 18s here shortly

sounds like duratracs.unbalaceable, spongy as hell, puncture just looking at them.

My duratracs are balanced, they are a little soft, but that to be expected, and I don't think you'll puncture the 10 ply's by looking at them, but if you do, I'll get new ones under warranty.
