Just picked some up for my 1500 and have a few questions:

1. Did you have to remove the "spats" from the wheel well so they would sit flush?

2. How much 3M tape did it take to do all 4 (for those that bought used ones).

3. My front fenders only have 3-4 screws in them already - and none are at the very top center. Did you have to get screws and/or U-clips for the top or did you not worry about that?

Thanks for info in advance

I bought them from that seller on eBay (easyautoparts). I installed them using the tape that was already on them and I didn't add any screws/clips. They feel very secure so I just rolled with it.

Same for me, although they could use a little extra tape in a few spots which I'll get to one of these days...

Wish I just did this vs blistering my thumbs removing the old.
I still have yet to mount them on.
I have had them for 4 months now.

Going to install these this week, hopefully if the weather cooperates, do I need to remove the old 3M tape or can I just put new tape over the old. I tried to remove and it's been harder to remove than when I debadged, maybe because it's not as wide so it breaks before I can get a decent size piece off.

I was gonna peel the old tape off mine, but you're right, its a *****. Instead, I installed them with the old tape. They fit relatively well, but there were a few gaps. I marked where the gaps were then removed the flares and just added a little tape where needed.

Much easier than stating over, and you also don't get the added gap from taping the whole thing.

The left over tape isn't sticky on the side against my truck, does that not matter? That's the only reason I was going to replace it.

Mine had spots that weren't sticky either. Test fit them and go from there.
