Hey guys! I'm moving up to the 4th gen forums, traded in my 04 Ram 1500 4x4 for a 2014 Ram 1500 Lonestar with 13k miles. The rims and tires are from my 04. The Lonestar comes with the 8.4 touchscreen, but didn't have backup cam or nav. Is there a way to add the oem backup cam and nav? Also, it didn't come with front and rear park sensors, which I want. Is there a way to put the oem park sensors on as well? Thanks for your input guys! Here's pics of my upgrade.

You can add the backup camera by purchasing the mopar backup camera kit. They run around $225 to $250 dollars. You will need to have the sales code added to your truck in order for it to work. You can also add the factory navigation to your truck in two ways. You can have the radio that's in your truck now Nav activated. OEM auto is doing them for around $400. Your radio already has the navigation in it. It just needs to be unlocked in order to work. You can also have it done by the dealer but they will most likley charge you more. The radio in your truck is an RA3. You can upgrade to an RA4 for around 4 to 5 hundred dollars which has the Nav feature from the factory. This radio has options that your RA3 doesn't such as HD radio and Real Time Traffic and Travel Link. This is a plug and play conversion in your case. You may have to fight with Chrysler to have your Uconnect acces changed but since your truck came with an 8.4 you should be able to transfer it. Most people don't care about the Uconnect apps because we can easily access them from our phones. As far as the front and rear park assist you would need all of the harnesses from the front and rear bumpers plus drill holes for the sensors or buy bumpers with the holes pre drilled. You would also need the correct switch panel plus have the sales code added in order for it to work. There may be wiring in your truck that is missing to do this conversion. I would do your research before hand to make sure you can install all of the equipment you need before you start buying parts. There are several posts in the DIY section on the backup camera upgrade as well as the radio upgrade.

If you add the back up cam the rear park assist sensors are sort of useless as you can get closer using the cam and see what's behind you.
If you drive a lot in bumper to bumper traffic or have a narrow driveway next to your house, you'll probably leave your front ones off most of the time too.
The park assist system does not do any steering like on the Ford trucks.
just my $.02
