I generally don't say this cause im a cheap FK but use OEM for a fuel pump on these trucks. I used a mid grade after market one wound up replacing year later.

Did you have any symptoms aside from the check engine light?

Is the fuel gauge reading correctly?

Might look into replacing the evap canister on the tank. It's easy to do. I just replaced mine. Had a check engine light on and check gas cap light. Turns out it was the evap filter/canister thing.

I would use oem.
My fuel gauge and sender unit would fluctuate in my 2010 GMC 2500HD to the point it would only work for short periods of time. Rock Auto listed the Delphi as a premium pump/sendor so I got that one. The one that came out was made by Bosch. The GM's of this time were having the same problem with corrosion on the rheostat for the sender. When I got the Delphi unit, it had paperwork saying that there were gold coated terminals and such to prevent terminal corrosion. It looked like a stout replacement, had good lifetime replacement warranty, and Delphi is an OEM producer. I would consider this if availalble.

I have a recall notice from Ram in the incoming mail. Likely the fuel pump replacement recall for my 2019 6.7L Cummins. Service manager told me in Dec the notices would go out 1st quarter of the year, so here it is.

Like others who have commented, if the lamp is now off, the gauge reads correctly, and you've not encountered any driveability issues, I'd get a second opinion. Have you scanned for any codes?

It would be significantly easier to give you some feedback if you would post the code. Huge possibility your fuel pump is not the issue but without sharing exactly what the trouble code was makes every single reply on this thread redundant... this is how bad information gets spread around wasted money spent on throwing unnecessary parts at guessing...
