Decided to open a new thread on this as I did a search however it was 2 years old and a member obviously had a issue that a 2 year old post was dug up. So here’s a new one. I know from the 2 year old post 1-2 members are running the functional hood scoops. Has any other members in the last two years decided to go with this setup? And if it’s a issue to reopen a 2 year thread maybe the mods should delete them after a certain time. Surely the same members that remark 2 year dig, 3 year dig etc will be the very ones asking members did they do a search. ***** funny to me sometimes.

JHay,

Reach out to Frostbite Ram on YouTube, he’ll answer any details relating to what he knows. Not sure if he has a handle on here.

Yea this is something I might do but I hate intake noise- let us know if you can hear your intake after doing this. My last truck had an air raid mxp and the thing was loud

Just ran the part# for the lower assembly, 77070023AC and it shows discontinued in Canada from Mopar Parts Canada. Amazon.ca show it as $649.35CAD available my July 24th. The hood unit is available from Mopar Parts Canada...but expensive to put it mildly..Part Number: 82214741AB,....$564.40CAD. OUCH!

Tigre that’s true Sir, it’s extremely expensive and I’m sure way overpriced probably solely due to the fact they’re genuine Mopar parts, however I put the lower assembly on soon as I got it home from the dealer and it’s been 2 years and instead of trying to sell this lower part I just feel in my case it’s wiser to buy the upper part. I’m not sure about this website called Bam Wholesale. But they have the lower listed for 297.95 still expensive, however $100 off msrp but I’m with you OUCH!

A fool and my money are soon parted.

I did the factory Mopar CAI on my 03 QC. I then added an SRT-10 hood and "bit down hard on that bullet" and installed the under hood plenum that made the SRT scoop semi functional, directing cold are to the top side of the CAI filter. The plenum cost almost as much as the hood! Said I 'd never play like this again..yet here I am thinking big time on this set up.

Old news: Did the TTI long tube headers, duel cats, MBRP stainless big pipe exhaust and all that CAI stuff on the old 03 for mileage gains (I hoped)...can't say I saw any major diff. Maybe you gotta be a WOT see the gains. As a daily driver I rare to never saw WOT. Perhaps a tune would have help with some gains?

Just ran that 77070023AC part # on your BAM site...they say it don't fit my 2018 RAM Sport 4x4 CC anyway. Oh well.

Yea I like the way you think. But work hard, play hard, but what you want and what makes you happy. I’m going to grab this upper assembly, a throttle body and catch can and then who knows.

It says that for mine as well. Possibly because you also need the lower assembly Mopar CAI. But it works.

Try contacting Benny at Allmoparparts.com, his screen name on here is @AllMoparParts.com. If anyone can find oem parts it’s him[emoji106]

If I hadn’t gone with the Vararam Air Grabber this setup would be my next choice. These Hemis like cold air

I sent him a message earlier today. I’m sure he will get back to me on Monday. And I was just thinking if I still had a stock intake to go with the Veraram. I can’t get over how much sweeter that engine bay looks with it. Choices and decisions. Thanks.

The hood part number shows on the BAM site but the lower air box number shows as a “will not fit”’item and sort of mentions that the part number supersedes to a different part# CAI package. May be I’ll just forget it and save a grand.

Saving a grand sounds good. Hit Benny up as well a forum vendor here on allmopar parts.

Well went to my local dealer today. Showed them this online price of $297 they price matched I just had to pay tax. So $324 out the door. Can’t wait to get it on. Throttle body next, stepping this thing along.
By the way Bam charge shipping which would’ve been $16 bucks to Texas. Still a great deal.

Benny couldn’t or wouldn’t match. His price was pretty much the $339 that they have online. So I saved $15 bucks and got it and didn’t have to wait 2-3 days to receive it via shipping.

Nice! Have you had a chance to take it for a drive yet? Any different?
Oh yea. It’s sounds different when on the gas and it feels really good WOT. I like it, but who knows It could just be a placebo effect seeing it cost me $324. Lol. But I also keep my Pedal Commander on Sport Plus 2. So it’s really aggressive and it pulls. My seat of the pants dyno will say it definitely made a difference
