hey fellas new to the forums here and hopin someone can help me out.. i have an 03 1500 w/ 4.7 and was getting around 15 - 18 mpg. within the last month or so its droppd to 10 - 12 mpg with no codes or lights on. i cleand the throttle body and did a tune up around 10,000mi ago?? should i try another tune up or i was told it could be 02 sensors..any ideas or help appreciated

When was the last time you cleaned the fuel system ( fuel treatment like lucas or sea foam ? ) done a hard re set on the computer ?
Also you say full tune up ? Did you replace plugs ? If so make sure they are all gaped properly , always check them out of the box .

Another good treatment is STP... It cleans not just the system but the injectors to. I've noticed a difference in mileage myself

Does Winter have anything to do with it...LOL?.

I got limp mode after 20 seconds upon start-up today as my ported Tb didn't like the - 40 **** with wind chill and this week my average is 27.8L/100 Km on the overhead (8.1 US). Just a thought! But agree Plugs could do it but certainly the plug wires if original (for sure) would make ya burn more.

Im willing to bet weather is also the cause. These trucks run rich when its cold out. Welcome to the forum bud kick back and stay awhile.

ok thanks for the advice. i will try another tune up and hope for the best.. cant wait to check out the rest of the forum. lots of info on here!
