I have a 2011 Hemi Ram. Today was 82 degrees out and when I got home I had a faint gas smell coming from under the hood. Fuel rails look good, not a strong gas smell just a faint smell. Can't find any leaks anywhere. Gas cap is tight. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. Intake bolt are tight. Have 105,000 miles on truck and also have a catch can. Smells like the older cars that have evaperator canister. Thanks for any help.

Check your Fuel injector O Rings one could be leaking, and how's the evaporative system in the gas fill neck but you should get a CEL.

Plugs are fairly new. Just did oil change and have oil sample ready to go to get tested. Have to go over everything carefully. Very faint smell so might be hard to find, but want to fix before it gets worse or causes a problem. Thanks for al the help.

Looked on Amazon and they don't list purge control valve for 2011. Says doesn't fit my vehicle. How did you know that valve was bad?

I emailed my tuner Jay Greene describing my problem similar to yours about smelling gas. Tried it out and worked out perfectly. I A quick Google search for 2011 5.7 led me to Rockauto.com

I still need to replace the leak detection pump on the fuel tank.

I just did a screenshot of someone's youtube vid trying to find that location of your purge solenoid
Looks like driver side under the relay box is its location
