Ju st bought 2012 cc sport. Just filled up and it showed 15 miles remaining but topped gas off and it showed 28 gallons. Wondering which tank I got 26 gallon and 2 gallons in the gas neck or had few gallons left and have
31 gallon?

You have the bigger tank,I thought it was 32. I've ran mine out and most I can get in it was 25. I have the 26 gallon tank. There had been post where people can't put more than 28 in the 32.

You have to account for the fuel pump and air. Maybe someone smarter than me can shed more light on this, or tell me i'm full of ****.

I also believe that the auto makers know people are going to push it to the edge, so they have a built in "safety margin" of a couple gallons from the time it reads "Empty" to the actual empty.

Considering the vast majority of pumps these days are cooled by the fuel around them, this is the case - running the tank empty on a regular basis is a perfect way of destroying the pump.

That damn low fuel sure comes on early.

I ran with low fuel light for a while and I thought better get gas soon. I only have a 26 gallon tank, but only put a little over 22 gallons. At least I know how far I an push it.

I was thinkin about the gas neck fool. I know the tank can't hold more than 26.

Fool? WTF is that for. You looked up your build sheet and found out that you have a 32 gallon tank. My comment was like ya you got the 32. Because the 26 can't take 28. As for the filler neck holding 2 gallons of gas. You are the fool.

I've only put 25 gallons in mine and I have the 32 gallon tank with the gas light on.

Lol I said fool because you said you can't put 28 gallons in a 26 gallon tank. I knew that. Then I looked up the build sheet and found out that I had the 32. Didn't know if the gas necks held that much. Didn't think so but just asking. I know I had a Lil brain far at the time.
