I have a 2013 Ram 1500 with the 8 speed transmission.

I know that hitting the gear +/- will disable the MDS and the tow/haul will not with the 8 speed transmission.

I have been disabling the MDS since I bought the truck with the gear +/- and applied a custom tune a short time later, but newer disabled MDS the tuner.

Here is my dilemma, I can't get the MDS disabled with the Intune DCX tuner and I am seeking some help. Tuner is updated.

Yesterday I attempted disable the MDS on my 2013 Ram 1500.

Select: Tune vehicle
Select: yes to prompt
Select: write vehicle
Select: Quick adjusts

I scrolled through and selected mds, selected mds, then selected "off". The tuner said changed will not be applies until tune is written next time. Then I proceeded to install your custom 89 - b tune. I ran through the key cycles and it said tune has been applied. I got in the truck this morning and the Eco light was still lighting up. I thought ok, but then moments later I could here and feel the mds kicking in still. So I proceeded to hit the gear selector and the sound and feeling of mds when away.

I thought I didn't install the tune right so this afternoon I tried it again. This time I loaded up the intune dcx.

Select: Tune vehicle
Select: yes to prompt
Select: write vehicle
Select: Diablio tuning
Select: custom tune
Select: 89 custom tune -B
Select: green check mark for 89 custom tune-b
Select: New tune selected - reset all parameters - selected no
Select: modify 89 custom tune - b - selected yes
Select - mds - off
Selects: select install tune

Intune DCX said tune successfully, you can unplug the intune.

Went for a drive and mds is still kicking in??

Am I doing something wrong to disable the mds?

Instead of quick adjust, use modify tune option. When your done, verify with "last tune written". It should have tune and say "modified ".

I know the eco light isn't directly tied to mds. All it means is your driving in the most economical way. I don't remember on my 2012 once I tuned it whether or not the eco light continued to come on. You should be able to hear the engine and the way the exhaust sounds if the mds kicks in or not.

Correct the ECO light will still come on with the tune and is independent of the mds. I wonder if I should have selected yes to reset all parameters. I just did want to erase anything.

1:12 he selects reset all parameters, but doesn't modify anything.
