Got brake checked

Dash cam saved me. I pulled out onto main road, plenty of distance, maybe 1/8th of a mile between us and he starts freaking out honking his horn, passes me, flips me off, gets over and slams on the brakes.

He seemed surprised i hit him too.

Hopefully he got a ticket. What did he say? I never understand people in little cars that brake check a truck. yesterday while on the interstate (80mph speed limit) small car ahead of me was traveling about 60mph and very light traffic. I pulled over to pass him and he immediately speed up to over 85mph as I was traveling just under 80 with the cruise on. I could see him flip me off. I pulled in to the slow lane as another car was coming up behind me and the dip *** pulled over taking up both lanes so the other car could not pass either. eventually the other car got around him. we were not in an area of cell service so no way to report him. I backed off to about 75mph and continued with my cruise on. all of the sudden the dip *** brake checked me and slowed to about 50mph and I was able to get around him. I kept it at 75 and he backed way off. strange stuff for sure. My wife said he looked stoned out of his head. he had Colorado plates.

After we pulled over in the closest parking lot, i pulled into a stall and he didnt. It looked like he was about to roll away so i jumped out and told him dont leave, i got it on camera. He says "what? Got YOUR road rage on camera?" Guy was a *****. I just laughed and he pulled into a stall and we sat and waited for the police. Once the officer showed up i showed him the video. He did the exchange of info and told me he was getting a couple tickets and said i should take off before he breaks the news to him. Im not even mad about the accident, i laugh at the difference in damage and he did it to himself

I never understood the "brake check" game. It's a loose-loose all the way around. As far as crotch rockets brake checking semi's that's just Darwinism taking over at that point. 80k vs. 400lbs tops? Almost all of those big trucks have cameras in them to protect themselves from liability claims.

NOT this BOIRD. I give Big A*** trucks a wide and respectful distance. That puppy passing U either direction pull U all over. I am a big purveyor of the bigger than U theory. U may not like it, but bigger than U means yield, LOL. I always pull over as far right as I can when a Big Truck comes by, ne body who rides ne length of time knows that, especially if U r riding in a cross wind.

Im actually on the fence about even doing an insurance claim and convince my wife to let me get some sort of beefy aftermarket.

Its literally like every 6 months someone does something stupid and my bumper ends up paying the price. I might not of posted all of them but you could see most of em in my post history

I'm glad you got that all recorded on your dash cam.
That ***** will be paying a very hefty fine and his insurance will go sky high for the next few years. Plus hopefully the judge will make that ***** go to driving school also.
Since the pandemic has started going away and more people are out and about with everything starting to open back up I see more impatient aggressive drivers excessively speeding, tailgating, and dangerous lane changes.
I need to get a dash cam and would like to know what brand you are using and how long you have had it

I got a 3 grand bumper after a drunk got in a head on with me. Next time that happens, I'm hitting the gas not the brakes. Super bumper for the back too.

Bumper was super easy to install. Seams like society is falling, lots off asswipers out there. Short or driving tank around, I feel like I did what I could.

I blame some of it on videos & drugged miscreants.
with a large portion of ppl not working for the last 15 months
Too many idiots watching shows like Fast & Furious & not realizing that the cars that start in those shows, have beefed up suspension & a load of safety gear. Besides that the stunt men may go through 6 or more of each type of vehicle. None of those stunt vehicles can do what Elenore seemed to be doing.

Those young riders on rice rockets must think that skull shell , face shield & over sized riders gloves are stronger than Spiderman or some other super hero
