Ground Straps

When I replaced my cam because of the dreaded issues I had no ground strap on either cylinder head? Could this be causing my limp mode issues??

So other then limp mode you have no issues with the engine. I would hard reset the PCM, google that. After the new cam you never got it flashed? If the engine runs good all you are getting is this code and limp, it could be pcm.

oops posted this in wrong thread, but I like these semi entry level harleys for tall guys, came back 2023.

I just watched a few videos & all i got was tired of watching

One mechanic even went so far as to say, a Quick Change Oil place must have used 0w-20 oil, then he said that after market Cam/crank sensor had to be OEM only, then he attached his high dollar scan tool & all he proved to me, was that he had no idea what he was looking at.

The other videos seem to be related to a water pump change, it did not matter if a dealership or a back yard mechanic did the switching

So i do have aftermarket cam/crank sensors installed from napa. I have been told to try the Mopar sensors, but I was also told that i might have bent a valve, or multiple, because when I first replaced my cam i messed up the timing and possibly bent them. Doing a compression test today to fully diagnose the issue. The ground straps were just a separate question!

Use only Mopar sensors......had this problem using aftermarket sensors on my Jeep, they would work for a week and then fail. switched to oem from Mopar........been 3 years and all is fine !!!

My oldest son worked for years at an AutoZone. He's remarked in the past that cam sensor were one of the most "return as defective" items sold in the store.
