Has anyone ever used these before?

Stumbled across these while searching for black lug nuts to match my wheels, initially was planning on going with black gorilla lugs. Has anyone had any experience with these, im wondering if they are worth if at $20 a set or if i should just fork up the cash for actual black lugs. thanks!

Pretty cool! I was trying to get the Orange caps for our trucks, but they are not available. But, if I select them by size (23mm), instead of vehicle, they are available. But the selection states one is 7/8" size, the other states 15/16". One of them isn't going to fit.

Awesome thanks for the info! I'll put an order in for these and see how they go once I'm back in the states, much appreciated!

From the looks of it.. We use them at work all the time to cover lugs on hubs when we powder coat them to keep the lugs clean. Hmmm, we sometimes get black ones.. :lightbulb: :)

IF they are the same thing, with heat they can harden up and actually expand and wouldn't stay on as well. I don't know that a lug nut would get hot enough though.. I've never actually checked the temp of a lug nut on a hot summer day.

You're brakes won't get up to 400* like when you powder coat.

I bought mine a little smaller than the 19mm lug nuts and they fit snug. Been on over a year not one had come off.

You'd be surprised how hot they can get really. A quick search yields lots of info. As I said though, I don't know that it would get hot enough. But then the point is also, I don't know at what temp the caps that we use, start getting damaged.

Again, I don't even know it's the same thing. But putting a soft rubber on hot metal, it's a possibility. Good to hear yours have held up for a year. It's definitely an easy way to dress them up. Hell, I'll be snagging some from work once I get some aftermarket riims.. if we have some the appropriate size. :)

True, in extreme road course racing, the pads, rotors, calipers could get up there.

Standard Vinyl caps are rated at 225°. Which is what I use.
They still look fine and pop on and off like new. .
