Hello! I’m sure this could be in the wrong form section so I apologize in advance not really sure where it’s to go. So my head light and bright we’re out on my passenger side. So I go to change the bulb. Well while I was taking it out of the casing. The lights came on. So I put it back and it was working fine. Well I was driving down the high way today and my lights went out again. Does anyone have any solutions? I’m sure it’s a wiring issue. But I’m not very handy with wiring.
Thank you

I would take a multimeter and check voltage. If you are getting power then it could be the socket. If no power then you're headlight harness could be going bad.

It's the ground wire in the harness. My left one did it a year ago, you have to bypass the plug and jump across the ground wire.

Is the harness easy to install? I can do some things but not many. I’m not the best with my hands. But if it’s simply plugging it in I can do that

Found the how-to searching the Exterior forum here. No video that I'm aware of.
Knew it had to be wiring since both low & high went out on only one side. Jiggled the harness and lights flickered so research showed the ground wire in the plug as the culprit.
Couple of wire taps to jump across the plug fixed it.

If I just buy the harness like mentioned above will that solve my problem? I’m sure that’s what it is. Having a similar issue. Also thank you for your help. I’m just a college kid and it’s my first truck that has my name on it.

The harness would probably fix it if you're not comfortable doing the wire tap, but jumping the wire costs about $3. If you have a knowledgeable friend it's a 10 minute fix.

Before you buy anything, disconnect the connector, and clean it up with some brake clean, and coat the pins with dielectric grease and plug it back together.I've fixed a 1/2 dozen trucks by just cleaning the connector up and applying some dielectric grease to the pins.Try that first before spending any money,if that doesn't cure the issue, then buy the repair harness. It's pretty common for the connector itself to be the issue

Not sure this is the correct place but quick question. I have 2017 1500 w/o projectors. I replaced all bulbs with LEDs and changed all with Alpha obd. Put in new headlights too. Have not had a prob for a year. Now passenger turn signal comes on but will not flash and no high beam on same side. Checked bulbs and bulbs are good and Changed back to factory and still no flash and no high beam. Changed out higher beam as well. No luck. All other light are good.Any suggestions are appreciated.

Ok guys similar question and I know didn't do enough reading before I just cut the old plug off and wired the new one in. I lost my bright light on that side. I have an inspection due this month and I have to get it fixed. Can I buy the amazon plug and then just follow it back to connector and plug and play it? I am getting fire to the bright switch and I have tried the old bulbs that I know work and then the LED on the right side which works on that side wont work.

Which style headlights is this for, projectors or non?

I'm not 100% positive, I know it fits non-projectors, Mopar's parts catalog lists it for Laramie's, Limited's and Longhorn's, so I would suspect they're the same, but I don't have real world experience

Thanks. I know my Laramie has projectors and I suspect the higher trims would as well. One of my bulbs keeps dying but it's definitely a busted filament so the harness may not make any difference.
