I'm thinking of buying the JBA long tube headers. For a 2012 ram 1500. What's everyone's opinions on these headers for those who have them. Also do you need to buy a new Y-pipe for these.
Are they worth the money or should I buy kooks?
Does anyone know if these are tuned long tube headers also? I can't seem to find any info on their website if they are tuned or not.
Is the 2012 ram collector 3 inches or smaller for factory. Thanks for the help and info.

Get the JBA 1 3/4 you will also need RemFlex gasket and Stage 8 bolts.

You will also need a custom tune to take advantage of the headers.

The Y pipe comes with the JBAs

My JBA's 1 7/8 fit like absolute dog ****, but now the new ones seems to fit without issues.

Why do you recommend the 1 3/4 Not the 1 7/8

Where can you purchase the stage 8 bolts?

i just went from 1 7/8 to 1 3/4 and there's not much difference in the two the 1 3/4 have a very little better low end . i also used the supplied bolts and havent had any trouble after 3 weeks. i used factory gaskets and get some copper collector gaskets

I'm thinking on the jay tune, but live in Wyoming. So elevation is my issue I want the most out of the truck, but he was saying they would have to tune for lower elevation since I travel to tn and Id a lot which is low

And did you like the 1 7/8? And the other guy said it comes with the y-pipe, pretty easy install?

my 1 7/8 were obx but my new jba headers themselves were good but the y - pipe was a horrible fit . i had to weld it to keep it from leaking because it wouldnt go all the way together and cut a part of the trans mount out. as far as the elevation, jay knows whats better so i would just let him do his thing

What's obx? And so would you recommend buying a separate y-pipe pipe?

obx is another header brand. ive heard you actually save money by getting one made by a shop but if you buy one dont be surprised if you have to modify some things. ive read that some people had issue and some didnt .i guess if its a monday or a friday y-pipe your gonna have to modify.

Alright, I appreciate the info. Did you install yourself or have a shop?
