I just this week upgraded my '17 2500 Tradesman quad non projectors to HID's.What do you all recommend from headlight revolution for hid in an 18 ram with the quad non projector headlights. Was thinking of 35w with either 5000 or 6000 k.

Thanks. Do you have any night pics? Also what led high beams do you haveI just this week upgraded my '17 2500 Tradesman quad non projectors to HID's.

35 W kit was on sale for $69.99 for just the Low beams. I already put LED's in last year but the lows still weren't great. Hi beam LED's were really bright.
So, now I have HID Low beams 5000K & LED High beams.
5000K is the closest you can get to pure white. 6000K is getting bluish and produces less useable light.
It's plug & play. Very happy with the quality of the components.
They strongly advised against 55W. Said I might have an issue because they throw off a lot more heat. He also said there is really no increase in lumens output.
Had to use a 1" hole saw to allow the blue silicone to be inserted in the caps. Easy to do.
Since I had the grille guard off, I replaced all the rusted mounting bolts, nuts & flat washers with Stainless steel. That **** is pricey!
Good luck bro!![]()
Did you get the 35w canbus ballasts and the power relay and the warning light cancellation harnesses?I just this week upgraded my '17 2500 Tradesman quad non projectors to HID's.

Highbeam's are from VLED. Very good quality. www.vleds.com/shop-applicationThanks. Do you have any night pics? Also what led high beams do you have
Yes, the Canbus is part of the kit, but you may or may not need the relay. I had a problem on another truck. Needed the relay so I would be feeding power straight from the battery, not going thru the trucks wiring harness. Relay fixed that so I just put it in this time too. Relay was extra $22. All plug & play. I'll try to snap some night pics.Did you get the 35w canbus ballasts and the power relay and the warning light cancellation harnesses?
There are 3 bolts that secure the bar (110 lbs) to two flanges. The flanges are secured to the truck by the 4 bolts holding each tow hook to the frame. There really is no need for Grade 8 bolts. What I removed was Metric, marked "8.8". That is approx. equal to Grade 5. It ain't going nowhere. LOL.I'm not a metallurgist, but I do not believe that the stainless hardware has the same strength as something like a Grade 7 or 8.

So you bought the kit with the 35w canbus ballasts and nothing else? No relay harness?I just this week upgraded my '17 2500 Tradesman quad non projectors to HID's.

What LED kit do you recommend and what other parts do you need to buy such as light out resistors relay harnesses etc?I guess I’m turning into an old man now as I’m going to shake my fist and tell you HID’s blind other drivers in reflector housings. Please go led.
I think @Underground Lighting is the dude you want to get in touch with. There were some recent threads with some output pics and they were pretty damn impressive! What LED kit do you recommend and what other parts do you need to buy such as light out resistors relay harnesses etc?
Son, if you're old then I'm dirt 'cause I was already married when you were born!I guess I’m turning into an old man now as I’m going to shake my fist and tell you HID’s blind other drivers in reflector housings. Please go led.
Put in a relay harness, yes. It all plugs together. Connectors are good quality. Only goes one way, can't do it wrong. So you bought the kit with the 35w canbus ballasts and nothing else? No relay harness?
Yeah, it's better than shooting them I guess.Sounds good, sir!
I just hate when people obviously don’t care about the other drivers with their HID’s in reflectors and not aimed properly I guess.
It makes me want to follow them and drill a hole through their headlight housings and into the bulbs when they are parked. That’s healthy right?
Do you need the relay harness For them to work?Put in a relay harness, yes. It all plugs together. Connectors are good quality. Only goes one way, can't do it wrong.
No. But, some people do have issues with the wiring system in the vehicle supplying insufficient voltage to the ballasts which can cause the HID bulb to flicker or not light at all. I had that problem on my '09 1500. I put a relay in, which supplies 12 Volts directly to the ballast from the battery. That fixed it.Do you need the relay harness For them to work?
