I have a 2012 ram 1500 and I'm wanting to do something different with my headlights. I want a smoked looked.. I have seen a few nice looking ones in the newer dodges... I don't want to spend 800 dollars on retro fits.. any suggestions?

Lamin-X makes films for your headlights in varying degrees of tint. Might be worth checking out. Easier to remove too if you or the local Po-Po don't like it....

Ditto on the Lamin-X I'm going to smoke my tails with it once I upgrade to LEDs.

Think I paid like $200 for these. Basically OEM headlights with black bezels. Not smoke, but I like them.

I found them on eBay. These are the quads. You'll have to check to see what lights you have. They have duals as well. They take halogen bulbs the same as the OEM housings do. Some people have complained about them, but I have had zero issues with mine. Just search ebay for your year Dodge Ram headlights. That's how I found mine.

Don't smoke the front lense; the light output is already so sorry, you don't need to make them any worse.
\I bought a set of near-new stock quads from a Kijiji ad locally for $100, took'em apart and painted them. For the lights plus $25 in materials and hours of PITA work, I'd order those $200 pre-painted lights in a heartbeat. The stockers are awful to open up, and tough to do without wrecking anything- it's quite a job. JJ deserves every penny he charges for his work. When I finally pony up for a proper set of retrofitted heads with projectors and HID, I'll buy a set from him.

See Cruizer's pic above? Those are quads. David's pic are the duals. There are 2 headlight styles- you just have to determine which you have and replace them with the same style unless you buy a connector adaptor from someone like JJ (Retroshop) as they 2 are wired differently

If you have quads you can get the ones Cruizer has. Those are really nice, and I am pretty sure they are plug-n-play.

Ive opened about 50 sets once you know the secret its simple

and the TYC replacements are even easier

Quads and duals are interchangeable. The only time you need an adapter is for the factory projectors
