In the old days we'd use a water/air pressure (20psi max) technique to flush cooling systems. Even after a chemical treatment that method flushed out a lot of stuff sometimes.

Unless you plan on doing it again you'll flush back into the block too. That crud is in the block and needs to be blasted out. I ended up making a homemade flush gun and plenty more crud was pushed out the lower radiator hose. My '16 heat rocks now but time will tell.

have you pulled your cabin air filter out and checked in there? you can also check that the doors are working. I have dual sone
I don't have a filter on my '14 but you should on the newer ones

Can't imagine why they don't mention flushing the block, since that is where all that crud is seems they enjoy doing this every year.
