When I remote starts my truck in the morning and it's below 40 degrees the heated seats and the heated steering wheel come on automatically. Today however the heated seats did not come on so I push the button and then came on for about 4 seconds and then off try it again it came on for 4 seconds and then off. I suspect maybe a worn-out relay but not sure. Anybody else?

I'm doubting a worn relay, in part because they are solid state theses days, or so I assume. It almost sounds like a circuit breaker tripping that resets automatically. That could be caused by a bad/loose connection at a stake on/plug in point, but finding it can be a PITA I suppose. Then again I suppose a heater getting worn out from supporting your backside could also be a culprit! I hate to think that to be a cause since it indicates a potential issue for everyone!

Do you have a 6.7 CTD? Like -B- said, you could be in battery saver mode, which doesn’t mean you have a bad battery, but it will prevent unnecessary features from functioning, like your heated seats.

I have a similar problem when I use my heated seat on High it will click off after a few seconds u can he it under the dash. But if I just use the low setting it seems to work no problem.
When it clicks off you have to completely shut down the truck to even be able to use the seat on low

I have the same problem - at below 40, the steering wheel will usually be on, but not the seat. Push the button, it goes on for a moment, then off. Shut the truck off, restart and it usually works fine. At the same time, even if the driver's seat isn't working, the passenger seat will. I've been told the module for the seats is probably going bad. Seems it's around a $200 part so I haven't been in a rush to fix it.

You've definitely got some great advice here, jljbtm. Let our team if you decide to get your heated seats looked at by your Ram dealer. We'd be more than happy to assist with that process.

Checked this morning - 34 degrees. Wheel on, seat not. Push the button -on, then off again. Eve tried setting it for low and it still shuts off. Stop the truck, then back on, and lo, the seat works. Just wish it got as warm as the wheel does.

Mine does the opposite... seat works wheel doesnt. Restart the truck and its fine. Odd. Wipers do this sometimes too. Not on remote start.

Turn it on, turn on wipers... nothing. Restart truck, it works fine.
