So it was pretty cold here in Sc last night of 29 degrees. My truck was iced over a bit. I remote started it to defrost, come out 5 minutes later, hit the wipers but my glass is still frosted with water running down the inside of the windshield. It was like a cold beer can outside in July. That heavy. Now the center was cleared out pretty good but the drivers side was horrible, passenger a little better. I really needed a towel to wipe it off.
I've never seen that on any vehicle that heavy. Now when I 1st bought it I had 3 little trickles one time go down the center of the glass.
Related or not, my defroster blows super high in the middle 3rd of the glass but towards the side of the vent it's not so much.
How is that much moisture getting inside? It's like a vent is left open somehow..
Any ideas?

Check under the back seat for moisture - most common leak is the 3rd brake light and usually it will leave some sign back there.
At least on the older models.
But I would feel everywhere on the floor for wetness.

I wonder if the condensate drain for the AC is plugged up and holding water? Or the heater core is leaking?
Either one could cause excessive moisture on the windshield when cold out.

You have water on the inside of your truck somewhere. Somewhere is a leak. Very common on these trucks.

There’s about a dozen places that can let water in. Sun roof and or drains , sat antenna, sliding rear window and or drains ,roof seams , front windshield, ac drain, rear cabin wall vents, third brake light gasket, cab marker lights, maybe elsewhere too. This should give you an idea of where to look ,you definitely have moisture intrusion,it’s not supposed to be wet inside.... your truck!

Same here, in Charlotte, my 2019 Laramie has been sitting about a week and quite heavy condensation on inside of windows.

I just had my entire rear window replaced, along with the gasket around the 3rd brake light (all under warranty) due to leaking. If you don’t have a sunroof, which has the drains that can leak (as previously mentioned) it maybe that.

Check the trim above the sliding rear window, I had a crack on each side of the slider, but my dealer actually found water was coming in at THREE places on my truck. Each top corner of the rear window and in the middle under the 3rd brake light.

There’s a star case #, S2023000005 - bring it in to your dealer and see if they’ll cover it.

No sunroof . The condensation was only on the windshield no where else. It doesn't leak any when it rains. This points the issue to the front of the cab.
I'll go by tomorrow, show them the pictures and at least get an appointment. Fortunately I had them look at it the first time when it was new.

First thing you should do is clean your windshield with windex and wipe with alcohol.
If you eat greasy fast food she or smoke in your vehicle, they're will be a film on the glass that condensate really clings to and is very noticeable with big temperature changes.

Yea, that’s where my condensation was, too. I hadn’t had any until I drove during a rain storm, then the next morning my windscreen was covered. FWIW, there is another TSB where there are welds in the front door which can deposit some water into the front of the cab too.

Star case on that one is: S1923000026, case info attached.

So, hopefully, between those two star cases, they’ll be able to find out where the water is getting into your truck. Good luck.

:eek::confused::D

Not "cold" by any measure.

As others have have said, you have excess moisture in the cab. Did you leave the sliding rear window or sunroof open? I know, probably not - not calling you an idiot... But there are other potential leaks possible. Check your carpets and see where it's ending up so you have a clue where it came from.
