Hello from Central Cali

Hello everyone.
Short time lurker finally joining. Looking for help.
I live in the foothills of central Cali
I am looking for a new to me truck.
Convince me that I want a Ram please! (by me, I mean help me convince my dad)

Vehicle will be used to get my from home to work/school daily. And my friends and I to camping spots and to my cabin up north on weekends.
Budget is under $10k. End goal is a badA** meaty 4x4.

My dad is pushing a Tacoma. My thinks is, for the same amount of $$ I can get more truck.

So any help?

I have been researching and reading as much as I can. But I haven't found a "New to Ram Buyers guide" Like they have on Tacoma world.

Do yourself a favor, you and your dad take a day and head out to test drive trucks at the different manufacturer dealerships. Compare and you will just gravitate to the truck you like best for the money. That way you won't have regrets.
I was never a Dodge guy, always been GM, this is my first truck too. I love it and have zero regrets!!

Welcome I agree with buddy. Go drive everything. I would love to tell you to just buy a ram but everybody has their own tastes and opinions. Buying something and having regrets would suck

I ran the vin through one of those decoders, and it comes up as different trims and options.
How do I tell that its actually the Laramie trim?
