Alright, well my rough idle is back on my 4.7L. Before I fixed it by replacing my TPS. Not sure what is causing it now. But since it has gotten bad again my truck has died 4 times. Mostly when shifting into reverse or park from drive. My buddy who has a shop looked it over and can't find anything wrong with it. He said he thinks it needs a PCM flash. Said there was a Technical Service Bulletin on rough idle for a PCM Flash. Anybody else hear anything about this, or know of anything else I can try before paying for a reflash.

I would call the dealership and ask them if there is an updated flash for this problem. They should be able to tell you before you go in and pay for something you dont need.

Well just talked to the dealership. He said it should've been flashed when it left the dealership. And for a 9 year old truck it's probably something else causing the problem.

When your shifting and it dies, is it immediately after starting it up? I know back when I had problems with my tps if I threw it into reverse too fast after starting up it would die.

Yeah it's doing that. That's originally why I changed my tps. I find it hard to believe this one went bad already.

No I forgot I can do that. I'll give that a shot this week as well and see what happens.
