Do you have sliding rear window? Maybe bust that piece out, but first see if you can buy replacement piece online.

Wife locked keys in running truck. Any ideas ?
While it's prop too late... Uber, run home get the spare key?

OnStar, Unconnect - maybe they can help even without a subscription.

Didnt think the drivers would lock with key in ignition UNLESS you locked manually by pushing down the knob.

Happens in the oilfield all the time. Wedge the top of the door open a bit. Then take the antenna off , put a slight bend in it and touch the unlock button.

14 hours idling? That's about what my neighbor does every week with his command start!
Every single morning, starts it and lets it time out over and over, does this for an hour before he actually gets in the truck and leaves. He's had the truck for a couple years now, I'm just waiting for it to blow a cam.

Thx for the advice gents. My wife woke me from a deep sleep about locking the Key's in the running truck. So in rage/panic I reached out to you folks here before I even went out side. Lol. I was able to gain entry to the truck by prying the top corner of passenger side door and using a piece of stout wire to press the unlock switch. Took maybe 5 minutes. I bought the truck used about a month ago and it only came with one fob and a key for the doors. All of which where on the same key chain. So I have 2 things in mind to prevent this from happening again. First buy another fob. Second I'll get a magnetic key box to hide somewhere on the truck. This whole event is not surprising to me on account of wife does this a couple of times a year every year for the last 20.lol. Anyway thanks again for your help guy's. What a great community.

I'm not pleased to know that it's this easy for anyone to break into our trucks. Then again, as a former tow truck driver, I remember that these stem locks are pretty easy. There should be a platform on the lock stem within the door. Bend a coat hanger into a tight "V" and then find that platform by feeling around. Once you do, lift up and that will pop up the lock.
