Lol I love the "there is nothing to see out here" comment. If there wasn't anything to see she wouldn't be out there

Before I traded my 2nd Gen in on a 4th Gen, got to work one morning during a blizzard. Empty parking lot with about 50 doughnuts and the tracks lead to the only truck in the lot. Boss comes in and gives me a dirty look, I look at her and simply say something along the lines of "it wasn't me" and she busts out laughing, "sure, it was the other redneck that drives a gray Dodge"... lol :roflsquared:

He actually didn't have permission. There was a curfew in effect all over central and north Florida during the storm to keep people off the streets so emergency workers didn't have to go out and rescue idiots. This guy ended up in jail for his shenanigans as well he should. These storms are nothing to mess with and he put more than just himself at risk. News channels were actually cutting off of live feeds in some cases when they saw people out and about that shouldn't be because they didn't want to encourage the behavior.

Me and my brother where outside playing in Hurricane Katrina. Climbing on fallen trees and such.

I'm glad you survived. It very easily could have gone the other way. A woman in Deland was killed during this storm when a tree fell on her while she was outside feeding livestock during the storm. Just today, an 89 year old man in Volusia county (think Daytona Beach area) was killed when he came in contact with a power line that was wrapped up in a downed tree. The point isn't that you won't survive being out in the storm because you probably will, just that it's very easy for a storm this powerful to kill people in all sorts of different ways and being outside driving around in one, especially in a high profile vehicle like a pickup, is foolhardy at best and displays a complete disregard for not only your own safety but the safety of the first responders who are going to be required to come rescue you when a 100mph gust of wind catches you and you eat ditch. And in this case, it was also against the law because he was in violation of a curfew.
