Hemi Tick?

2015 1500 with 44000 kms on it. I baby this truck. Always run synthetic in it and never past 10000 kms. Is this the Hemi tick?

Media/video is not working... But always check for broken exhaust manifold bolts before assuming it's lifter tick. Get under the truck, pull on the manifold heat shields. If there's any loose, you have broken manifold bolts which is covered by 5yr/100kmile powertrain warranty.

I heard it ! Unfortunatly it is not exhaust bolt. Do you have change your oil not long ago? Some times it happens just after an oil change and go away later.

I was reading about using a thicker oil. I’ve only ever ran 5w20 in it and it’s the end of winter here so it’s just endured 4 months of -30 Celsius weather.

That cadance sounds like lifter tick, many of us have ended that with that oil combo above.

Can’t make it any worse I guess. I am gonna take it in because I still have some warranty left but if they give me the ol “yeah, it’s normal all the Hemis do it” I will switch the oil and filter.

Redline 5w30 is no probem -30c, and it isn't just thicker oil, it is ester.pao based high ep/aw additive high moly oil. It attacks lifter tick from mutiple fronts, and it is "thicker". Good luck either way, many of this have this demon in our engine, FCA garbage. If you try it please inform the syn thread if it works or doesn't work, and sometime it works fast and sometimes it takes 500 miles, that is the science behind the formula. Moly needs time, heat, and pressure to plate. These things happen in tick condition, but time is also needed 3 things not 2.

Yep you got the Hemi Tick, if you listen from under the truck it will be more noticeable. Honestly sounds a little worse than others I’ve heard. Redline oil is your best option; give the oil Time to do its thing.

I literally changed my oil yesterday and it started doing it afterwards. Could it possibly be the oil change?

Not good at all. Truck doesn’t even have 50k kms on it yet

Imo it is. Sometimes it happens to mine after an oil change.I also saw a video on youtube : the man have exactly the same issue after an oil change and the tick goes away after the oil "get dirtied a little"
