Alright ladies and gentlemen,

I've had my truck since 2009 it has the 5.9 magnum in it and let put it this way I knew the previous owner (family). I drove the truck countless times before I bought it. Even then I would push the pedal to the floor it would accerlerate awesome and then hit the rev limiter before it would either shift into 3rd or 4th. It'll bounce off of it until I let go of the gas and then it will shift and keep pulling hard again without any issues.

Why does it do that is my question. kinda annoying because it revs up and alost falls on it's face but kinda funny too to see the faces of the people when they hear the truck rev up that hi by their window.. haha

Not a real big deal just a random thought today when I was trying to pass somebody this morning going to work.

Something sounds off for what sounds like a stock 5.9 to hit the limiter at WOT.

I will go out on a limb and say that the torque convertor is either going bad or is the wrong one. Either that or the rev limiter was reset to be lower.
