You are now discussing what is truly important! All the rest is BS. I would never trust any holster that moved or slid with the seat. That extra second or two spent "looking for the gun grip" could get you dead. Your family will at least know you died not scratching up the plastic. I carry 24/7 and I carry .45s. Many times it's a pain, but carry isn't suposed to be comfortable, it's supposed to be comforting. Secure that **** and take the hit on the screw hole damage. I don't feel like making new friends again. :)

Mine isn't hard to find, and the only time it 'slides' is when I adjust the seat. When I get out, the seat moves all the way back, and I slide the gun back, so it is no longer visible from outside the truck.

When I get back in and start the truck, the seat & gun slide forward to the memory position, and the gun is still in the exact same spot as before when I am in the truck.......right by my right knee.

Didn't mean to preach or insult you. It's just been pounded into my head for a long time. I pound it in myself now 'cause I know it's true. I don't know your level of training and that wasn't actually aimed at you. It was for anyone that thaught a gun secured in something that moves around is OK. Lots of young guns out there. Funny thing about guns, you're (somebody is) dead before you know you F'd up. I've seen so many "amateurs" holding guns, there are certain ranges I won't go to any more. (Outdoor state range, Rt 6 in PA). Usually no RO present and yahoos will get you killed. I left when I saw a 6 yr old girl carring a cocked & locked 1911 around behind me while range was cold. No tollerance for that. All good I hope.

Right now I keep a Walther Creed in the seatback pocket in a holster with an extra mag (16 rnds). Best pistol buy in America right now, $270 from CDNNSports.com (+shipping+transfer fee in your area). I do not work for them, ;)

I've recently seen one of those magnet versions with supposed super strength double stick.
Can't remember where though.
I use GO Magnets. No it don’t fall off. No it don’t scratch the gun. Yes I drilled into the plastic. Yes I can have it there in Texas. Yes it’s loaded and has one in chamber. No it dont have a manual safety. I don’t live in the city beak ins are not a problem. If I go to city I put it away. I’ve gone on bouncy dirt roads and it stays put. My wife moves seat forward it don’t move. And yes I have to clean it regularly cause it does get dirty. But it’s a tool and I shoot it when I’m at the farm regularly. I think I covered all questions and gripes :D

Not sure what states you drive in, but it may be legal where you are, just don't come here (NJ) for your sake. Sadly, they will lock you up in a flash. I have 2 of those holsters in my giant box of "Holsters not currently in use". Haha, everybody has one of those boxes, just seems the older you get, the more guns you've owned/own, the bigger the box is. Mines got 40 or so in it now. Those little universal slip on the belt jobs seem to hold my guns pretty well.

Just in case I have black cap I hang over it .
Concealed totally .

Well son of biscuit. Just got an email from Gum Creek, the place where I got my steering column holster that’s been modified to fit the console pocket there on the models with the full center console and uh, it looks like they just came out with a holster mount that’s made specifically for that location.

Guess I’m gonna have to look into one.

Well, problem solved. Had to modify the mount a little bit with some zip ties to get the strap to go short enough to make it secure but I think I’m happy.

This is what I have directly under the steering wheel. Love it!

Yeah that’s what that one started out as when I bought it but, I really wanted my holster to be down by the floor where I have it mounted at. Figured it would be easier access to it if I needed it, and figured that with it being down there, it would be more outta sight and outta mind. Figured it would be more comfortable since I’m 6-foot, and less chance to bang my knee on it getting in and out of the truck.

I’m anxious to try this new one tho, that’s meant to be down there.

Don't have the center console. Have the buddy seat. My daughter does ride there occasionally so cannot really mount anything to the side or in front of the seat due to feet.

Fabricated a bracket that bolts to the seat frame. Very solid with no movement when drawing weapon. Cant really see the bracket but here it is with the glock g 43 mounted.

In the Console of the 19 Laramie I put a micro 9 inside the coin holder compartment and slide the drink holder back over top of it! Works perfectly and can access it way faster than a holster! :)

Well I got my new holster in today and of course just like the other one I had, I had to modify it to make it work how I wanted it to but, I think I like this one much better. This one fits much nicer and a lot more snug to the side of the console. I lost the little magazine pouch that was on the other one but hell, I can keep that spare mag in the console if the first 18 rounds of .40 Federal HST’s don’t do the trick....[emoji41]
