Is there any explanation why I've blown a brand new bypass hose on top of the water pump? Only 3 months old.. regularly check my levels.. replaced water pump and bypass hose at the same time!

5.9L gas or diesel? It could have been a manufacturing defect. I had a hose that leaked from day one because the manufacturer decided it was a great idea to use a clothing-style plastic tag connector that PIERCED the hose instead of a wrap-around sticker like everybody else, eventually, the hose blew.
