The mirrors aren't going to work unless you have Laramie ones. Even then, I can't say they'll work for sure since I don't have a set to test with. I can't get the option on my radio for the tilt down and I'm not sure what it defaults to, so that's another variable.

The seats are pretty straightforward. You need to wire the module to CAN-IHS and add the code under the memory section (the AE may or may not have that option depending on year). The tricky part is wiring in the switch. It actually runs to the door where the door module reads the state and sends it over the bus to the seat module. So, you'll need to add two wires to the boot in the door frame. I just connected it temporarily to make sure it worked before I went through that effort.

At this point I'm not sure if I'm going to bother. I may just forget about it or try to mount a switch to the door panel instead.

Might just not do that then. Would be nice seeing that my wife is 9 inches shorter than me but for something I need once every 2 months Ill take a pass. The mirrors though, if you do one day figure that out, Ill be your best bud!

It blows my mind that trucks from the north dont all come with the heated seats and wheel option. Its a $495 option. Its such a nice option and i personally had it with and without. I really miss it to the point i dont want to mod my truck any because i prob wont keep it because of it.

Yeah I agree. I got lucky and found my Laramie seats pretty cheap so it wasn't as bad for me. Now that people know we can make them work the prices for the Laramie seats are ridiculous. You can still find the heated Bighorn seats for a decent price if you do some searching on Car-Part.com.

The wheel i see on ebay is bare except outer leather. Is it hard to switch everything over from my wheel or should i find a whole wheel? It also says you must have heated wheel which i do not.

In order to install a heated wheel you also need the heated wheel clockspring. That is why that disclaimer is there. You can move over all your buttons and such. Im in Florida so I have not done the wheel, and likely never will. The seats are what I wanted and scored!

The wheel and clockspring are not hard to change, just be patient.

No its not hard to change. You will also need the clockspring as stated plus the heated wheel harness. You don't need to already have the heated wheel in order for it to work but you will need to order the heated/ventelated seats and heated wheel.hsrness from M2 Mods in order for everything to work. Not sure what your truck came with but if you don't already have the audio controls on the back of the steering wheel I would also recommend doing that. If that is the case it would be much cheaper to just wait for a complete heated wheel to come up on ebay or car-part.com.

Sorry forgot to mention I can't see what trim level your truck is. If it's an Express or Tradesman you will need to add the harness heated seats/ wheel harness. If your truck is a Bighorn in most cases or in some cases and SLT all the required wiring should be present.

I posted a pic earlier in post. I believe you told me my truck was populated with all the wires needed. My truck is a outdoorsman and the only options i see missing is heated seats, wheel, and dual zone other than that as loaded as a big horn can come i wouls say

You can either buy the OBD genie or if you are local to someone with the AE tool. You are in the northeast correct?

Sorry I have some type of problem with the forum lately and I can only see certain things. It's hard to even get on and post. If your truck is the Outdoorsman the wiring should all be there. You will need the heated wheel, heated wheel harness, heated wheel clockspring and correct switch panel and that's it. I have done some that worked without adding codes and others needed the codes activated in order to work with the switch panel. Seems to be a crapshoot. You will always need to add the codes in order for the controls to come up on your screen.

I bought mine from the dealer. They are only around 30.00. I am at work so I don't have the par# in front of me but I will see if I can find it when I get home. Yes everything for you will be plug and play. The heated wheel wiring is already in your column. You willl see it when you remove the wheel. That wiring will plug into your new heated wheel clockspring. Your heated wheel will also plug into your new clockspring using your new heated wheel harness. It's very strait foward for you once you get the parts you need.
