I installed my heated cooled seats from a 15 into my 15 over the weekend. I was replacing some 2014 heated only sport seats. (For sale in the classified section) I had working seats and wheel with the sport seats. I swapped out the seats and the switch bank (new, used a vin from a 15) for a switch bank with the correct heated cooled buttons and I have lost the heated wheel function. Hard button does not light up. The icon will light up on the radio when pressed for about 2 seconds. I hope to meet up with Deere Guy next week to see if adding the cooled code will fix everything.

That's weird as I added the heated wheel
Code for you to get it to show up on the 8.4. As long as I get my AE tool back in time, we can take a look. We know that the newer CSWMs have more options, so it will be interesting to see what yours is set at now.

The heated seat harness goes into the right side of this plug it I'd the DB/LG WIRE and the GY/DB wires in pin# 7 and pin# 15 of this plug. This is a picture of the gray wire and the blue wire I attached to the plug.
P# 7114-4101-02 this picture also shows the correct orientation so you can see where the P/Y wire ignition on RUN supply is located for the relay in the plug directly above it. Also a picture of the wiring needed for the gray seat plug. 5 go to the passenger seat two go to the heated wheel and two go to the CAN.

Hi, i have a question for you. I have a ram sport 2015, but my seat is not heated and ventiled. I have buy seat from laramie 2014 or 15, but the plug with 14 pins have more cable and also the plug with 20 pins. All pins have a cables, but my sport d'ont have a cable in pin 2,5 and 6 for the 14 pins connector. And my other plug have no connection on 1,2,4,7,8,9,11,14,16,17 and 18. Also, the driver seat have another plug with 6 pins and my sport d'ont have this 6 pins. Do you have a same connector? And how to connect this?

Regards.

Can you post a picture of the connectors you have under your driver seat? I'm most interested in the yellow connector at the front of the seat closest to the door.

As DeerGuy stated could you please post a pic of your seat plugs? It will help us understand what you are dealing with. Your truck should have all of the required wiring in place if it's a Sport. Are you sure your truck is a Sport and not an Express?

You have all the wiring you need in your sport to make the heated/vented seats and heated wheel work. The other wiring in the Laramie is for memory, and power pedals. You will still need other components, to make it work such as the button panel, etc but you will not need to add any wiring.

You will need to buy the correct button panel, heated wheel and clock spring. To make the heated wheel and vented seats work, you will most likely need to add codes to your truck. There are a couple ways to do this, but the best way would probably be to buy a genie from @infotainment.com who is a vendor here. Chances are pretty good that only the heated seats will be the only thing that work until the codes are added. Out of curiosity, What radio do you have in your truck?

The extra 6 pin plug runs to the center console's rear seat heated buttons.

Was at the Dodge dealership yesterday for an oil change. Asked them to see about adding some sales codes. For my heated & cooled seats. As well as my CD player & my Aux quit working when I added the 8.4". Guy didn't really know what I was talking about I could tell. Was hoping one of the mechanic's would see the note & get some of them added. No such luck for any of them. They didn't get a single thing added. The guy said yeah I don't know what kind of radio that is but it would work with anything? IT is a VP4 but would that keep them from adding codes?

No the radio has nothing to do with adding the codes. I have had codes added at the dealer plus added my own with the AE tool with my VP4 installed. MazenBlue was able to get his heated seat codes added as well at the dealer with his VP4 already installed. Unfortunately in many cases the dealer Techs know less about certain aspects of these trucks than we do.

How to put them? by obd2?
what is AE tool?

Me also i buy console cd-rom, laramie seat and wheel with clock spring. i install the seat and wheel later in this month, but if it possible to bypass the dealer, i'm :happy107:

my other project is to install rear park assit ewith harness and module.

We do sell the OBD Genie to program the Heated & Cooled Seats plus the Heated Steering wheel. If you call in to place the order we can also add the code for the CD player in the center console.
