Yes after using it I was glad I put it on my laptop, its a small 11 in like a chromebook with windows and a touch screen, great size for working in the truck.

Appears the dealer did add the code to my truck, certainly appreciate not being charged, but would have been nice to know.

I just wonder if that's what brought your wheel to life also..

I'd like to think it was all my skill and hard work... or the code
I would think if there is a code to add, the wheel would display in the soft buttons, but I don't show anything on my screen anywhere to turn the wheel on or off.

Unfortunately there is no way to know for sure. I know mine worked but so far no one else's has. The strangest thing is my heated wheel is still not set in my ECU Memory#5 and neither are my vented seats but they both work. All I did was activate the soft keys.

I didn't set anything in there either and my steering wheel works.

Adding Heated/Ventelated seats and Heated Wheel to Express/Tradesman

It's really a big ? right now. Both cptwing and I had to enable the options both places to get it to work. WilliamS only had to enable them in ECU#3. Maize we don't know what effect that code had on his truck. Ricks everything worked with no codes and R/Ts heated seats and wheel works without codes. Really the only thing we know for sure right now is that the heated seats will work out of the box.

Not sure if everyone has caught the news yet but MPGrimm2 and I have started a joint project called M² Mods. Our goal is to help members with several different wiring mods that are common or up and coming. We both have had requests and have helped members out in the past and we wanted to continue helping other members but also wanted to follow the rules of the forum. So we have went together and became an official vendor here on the forum. So with that being said, come check out our page. We will be updating it over the next few days. Right now MPGrimm will be focusing on the RA4 conversion harnesses and I'll be working on the heated/cooled seat mod harness including the rear seat wiring.

Great news guys! I'm looking forward to getting the heat/cool seats working along with the 8.4 NAV with factory controls :) I installed the new dash panel switch with heat/cool/steering wheel heat and my factory options. Slowly by slowly... step by step :naughty:

Sooooo.... My memory seat seems to be working after all.

I got a Firecall and my girlfriend was with me so she took the truck home from the hall. She moved the seats so when I hopped in after when she picked me up I had to move the seat back. Once I positioned it for myself, not back to the original spot before she moved it, I took the key out and it went to full retract. Went and turned the key back on and it moved forward to where I last had it.

Weird.

One less thing I'll have to program.

Just a heads up, we have discovered that the CAN IHS Bus connector on 2013 and 2014 year models is slightly different than on 2015 and up. I'm working on getting the right part number for the 2013 and 2014 models now.

Also the assumption that the I315/I311 HD vs 1500 steering wheel connection has proven not correct either. A 2013 2500 has the I315 connector. So I'm not sure what defines if the steering wheel passes the tough the I311/I315 connector. At least they both use the same terminals :)

I ran into this with the OEM/Jeepguy style camera harness at the i315 vs (edit: Inline-Body/IP). I think it has to do with trucks that may have the adjustable foot pedals/wiring option. On those trucks, the camera wires moved from the i315 to the Inline-Body IP Connector right above it (looks like the CAN IHS pins 26 & 38 went there?) ...

Could it have something to do with the GEAR +/- being on the shift lever on the HD and on the steering wheel on the LD? The reason I say that is that I have a 1500 wheel in my 3500 and the GEAR +/- do not function. The lever buttons still work. Maybe it is a program setting...

I am going to be selling my seats, the ones shown here in post 552, hopefully someone out there is looking for a set that do not have airbags, they a 2014 seats as 00R/T pointed out they are out of a 5500. Not sure if they would work in a 2009 thru 2011 since they did not have airbags. Seats are practically mint and work flawlessly.

Hey, what's the benefit of the Jeepguy harness compared to using the OEM kit??? Guess I'm not understanding exactly what it is???

The OEM wont have the wiring in the truck. As well if you wanted to use OEM, you would need to rewire the entire truck. As the body harness is mostly 1 continuous piece. So the Jeepguy harness just add the wires needed instead of gutting the entire truck.

Has anyone tried activating the Memory seat module? I saw it in there but did not try to activate it, was thinking about trying it?
