I have fresh paint on my truck (about a week old). Should I wait a little while before peeling badges off?

Definitely

If it just got painted, why didn't you have them skip the re-badging?

This method works great. I've since used it to remove price tags off of books, etc. Pull the opposite direction at a 45 degree angle. Works great!

Thanks for the tips. No doubt on the finesse with the adhesive. It's worth taking your time vs fighting with the leftover goo.

I pulled most of them and plan to black out the rest. Will try the plastidip first and see how it looks. I have my doubts but it seems that many have had good luck with it.

Just did mine! I'd liken it to removing the adhesive from those 3M Command hooks... I love the clean look but as soon as I can find a 1pc grille I'll be placing one of my HEMI badges on the corner of the grille

Well now I know what I am doing tonight. Thanks for this. Think I will be leaving the Hemi badge on, and of course the tailgate one. Don't need those holes.

Trup, another shout out man, thanks. Just did my 2013, looks great; I used goof off for the remaining adhesive, used very little pressure and it came right off.

I removed the RAM emblems from the doors today. Looks good! Some bug and tar remover got the left over adhesive off well.

Definitely making me seriously consider debadging my doors after I order my truck. One of the things I never liked about Rams was the size of the door badging, but guess that's not a problem.

Anyone tried treating the rear Ram badge? Think if I go with the Mossy Oak trim, I might try to get it camo dipped to match if that's possible.

It can be removed, but there are 2 holes that have clips (I believe) so you would have to replace it with something else.

I would get it treated and rehung. Part of what drew me to the Outdoorsman and Sport model is the low chrome look esp the grill. Finishing off the badging would make it even better.

Did this yesterday. Also took off the 4X4 off the tailgate and tinted the tail lights. The fishing line worked great, but the black tape was pretty tough, probably because it was so cold. After I picked that off I use goof off and let it sit for a few minutes then the residue came right off.

uploadfromtaptalk1391379417716.jpg I'll be doing this sometime this week. What does everyone think, keep or loose the hemi badge on the fender?

Been freaking cold here and a pain so far getting the emblems off the back. I'm thinking of doing the sides and taking the 1500 off but leaving just the RAM emblems on, anyone have else do this? Some trucks just look really naked to me when they have nothing on them.

Great video. I used an eraser wheel but only because I never thought to try fishing line. Good household item and way cheaper. Now if they would just stop using alignment dowels for the larger badges lol.
