2018/19 classic 4th Gen Ram Radio: (USA)
68331631Ax (UAQ 4c Nav) ~$1580
or 68331635Ax (UAS 4c non-nav) ~ $1380

2020/21 classic 4th Gen Ram Radio: (USA)
68461699Ax /68528238Ax
(UAQ 4c Nav) ~ $1300
or 68461703Ax/68528242AC (UAS 4c non-nav) ~ $1145
I appreciate it, but it isn't worth that much for me to switch it over. I've gone 9 years in this truck without it. It isn't a high priority to add it. More of a novelty for me.

Hi all so I’ve been wanting to go down this rabbit hole for awhile. I should have done this when the radios were cheaper. I have one coming tomorrow. I was lucky enough to find the Chrysler 200 media hub. I also bought a new 7” evic out of a 2018 ram. I have alpha obd so I’m confident I can make the needed changes.
I currently have a 2015 ram 1500 limited with the 8.7” uconnect. I have the dual zone climate control. I just want to thank everyone for their knowledge. I spent the weekend going through all 380+ pages. I saw somewhere that the TPMS won’t work with the replacement evic. Is there a fix for this? I don’t have oem sensors on my rims. I don’t know if that makes a different.

Thanks in advance for your replies.

any Ameri-friends in the states willing to order me 2 x of these hubs that Harry O purchased off ebay? I'll paypal you the funds, as well as a prepaid UPS shipping label. so you buy em, shipped to you. then you ship to me. :)

cheapest that I can get ONE of ebay Canada is still over $60 and the seller Harry bought from won't respond when I ask about shipping to Canada.

While I don't want to discourage anyone from assisting, or speak to Crash's intentions, it's worth mentioning...

I've personally had someone in Canada make the same offer to me (not Crash), and had UPS send me a charge back/bill for additional customs & shipping fees to my home address because I was the one that signed/dropped it off at UPS to ship to Canada. (ie shipped from my address)
It was a nightmare to deal with and UPS customer service was no help trying to get the bill sent to the person in Canada that paid for the shipping label & told me they were going to handle it. (& keep it from hitting my credit vs just paying it)

I'm very sorry that you had a bad experience mpgrimm2.

my intentions are to complete the adventure of getting the 2020 8.4 radio fully functioning with carplay in my 2015, via the most cost effective way possible. that is all.

Out of nowhere, my Panasonic unit all of a sudden is freezing up / won't come on randomly when I start my 2015. It has done it twice in the last week after months of success with the retro fit. Anyone else had to troubleshoot something similar? On 39.6 firmware. I also am utilizing Customtronix's Jailbreaker Enzo so if probably continues, I may try to remove that to see if it helps at all. In the meantime, wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this or figured out a potential solution.

I should add I upgraded to firmware version 40.1 this morning. Looks like the TSB covers this as an issue with previous firmware. Just weird that it just now started happening, but hopefully firmware update addresses it.

Yes, that should be a good fit (depending on your exact setup, there can still be some issues that pop up)
Question regarding the 2018 part numbered radios. If I buy a brand new one with that part number (which is for a 2018) do they still have the delamination issues? If not is there any reason to go with a 19-21 part number?

From this post

You should be able to use either USA or Canada version without issue.

2018/19 classic 4th Gen Ram Radio: (USA)
68331631Ax (UAQ 4c Nav)
or 68331635Ax (UAS 4c non-nav)

2020/21 classic 4th Gen Ram Radio: (USA)
68461699Ax (UAQ 4c Nav)
or 68461703Ax (UAS 4c non-nav)

---------------------
2018/19 classic 4th Gen Ram Radio: (Canadian)
68331632Ax (UCQ 4c Nav)
or 68340153Ax (UCS 4c non-nav)

2020/21 classic 4th Gen Ram Radio: (Canadian)
68461700Ax (UCQ 4c Nav)
or 68461704AC (UCS 4c non-nav)

Anything with a later than probably early 19 manufacturer date should be good.if you get a brand new radio from mopar the production date will be 2022 or later.they go by letters in the part number.they start with aa then go ab ac etc.the later the letter the latter the manufacturer date.the last uaq I got was am I think and manufactured in June of 22.

Thank you. So would there be any advantage to buy one new from a 2020 over a 2018?

These below as an example

2018/19 classic 4th Gen Ram Radio: (USA)

2020/21 classic 4th Gen Ram Radio: (USA)

If you buy a brand new 2018/19 PN radio, it should come with the newer PN LG screen assembly. . . but I haven't independently confirmed that by taking a new unit apart.

Hello, I recently upgraded to a UAQ unit that I got from Infotainment, and I'm trying to identify what kind of unit they gave me and if I need to update the software. I'm "thinking" its a Canadian unit but the model number doesn't seem to match what I'm looking up here. What do you guys think? Also, I found a sticker indicating SW: 39.6 UCQ, but the radio itself says 21.14.14, I'm confused.

As per Mpgrimm2, The radio software goes by the "application version" . so you are correct on both counts: It's the Canadian version UCQ and 39.6 . In Mpgrimm2 had told me that 39.6 was the most current back in January when I got my unit form a recycler.

chances are infotainment probably buys the UCQ versions cheaper in Cdn funds after the exchange rate. the US buck goes farther up here.

Hey, last time I posted I mentioned creating a secondary USB hub harness with keyed illumination. I just wanted to share that I have completed my first prototype.

I can officially confirm that it all works well! I am waiting on a new hub and a fresh order of connectors for a second prototype. Expect a guide/better pictures soon-ish (connector shipping from china could take a week or 3 months based on my experience lol)

Pictured, my messy prototype harness (will be waaay smaller in V2) a photo of illumination on, a photo of illumination off (v2's hub has bright blue LEDs) and a photo proving it works

very cool. I'm not a fan of the factory hub being in the armrest. a second more easily accessible spot would be very handy.

Interesting. Should I be worried that they gave me a unit for a Jeep from Canada? I know it's all the same family more or less, but would I run into any major issues moving forward or should I ask them for a different unit?
