As mentioned in title, I show you how to replace your front dash speakers of your 4th gen. Very easy install, and in my opinion well worth the small cost. Stock speakers are garbage, now I’m getting crisp treble from the dash speakers. Minimal tools required as well.

Takes 30 mins of your time, taking your time. Tweaked equalizer, treble, and MID. Sounds great, significant difference for such small speakers. I can only imagine how much better an upgrade will be if you have the 8.4 or aftermarket radio.

That was a nice simple video that makes me want to do that upgrade now. Thanks! How did you figure out you needed the Metra 71-039C and not the Metra 72-6514 plug and play speaker harness? What was the difference? Every other web things shows the later? I have a 2018 2500 Tradesman with the most basic 5" U-connect...

I did a bunch of research before and found out I needed that specific model # if I wanted a plug and play. You are correct of how many websites show the 6514, although those are for your door speakers. My truck is also a 2018 with uconnect 3 w/5” display as well.
