Inconsistent Shift Switch Ops

I have found that the shift switch sometimes has a mind of its own. Sometimes it will not respond to the first click at all, sometimes the first click while under way displays 6 while it is still in lower gears, sometimes the first click takes it to the gear that it is actually in. Not a huge deal, but things that behave inconsistently aggravate me. Anybody else seeing this?

X3...although it worked pretty well yesterday while towing the boat to the storage spot at the lake. I left it in 6+/6- and used it to downshift for the long grades.

Mine sucks too. It's funny because our 09 model is quick and accurate.

Same here. I've noticed it many times. Way past wondering if I've pushed the button hard enough. This thread just confirms my suspicion.

Well, at least it's not just me, and I am not imagining it. I guess misery loves company!

Same thing in my '13 Express. Tap it once and nothing tap it again and it switches to 2nd gear @ 70mph!
