I was thinking, the venom hood probably has a few more inches of clearance than the SRT...just an option if you still have the clearance issue

I'm probably going to ditch the whole 09' truck intake, I took apart the solenoid and it has a circuit board inside.....I just don't think I can make it work properly. So I'll just stick with the ported 6.1 instead.

they are going to eventually make trucks that are impossible to mod engine wise.

I had this motor pulled in 4.5 hours, twice as much time putting it all back. Having a HUGE Superchips issue, seems to be locked up giving me a G35 code. Not sure WTF is the problem...... It won't let me reset the PCM either but the motor runs....well sort of, with 6.1 injectors, a big cam, and canned Superchips tune it's running like ass. Need to get the Diablo custom tune loaded.

It's not that I have a problem so much as I don't exactly know what the problem is. I see the symptoms, ruled out a few things, but with a project this big it's hard to retrace your steps....assuming it was that and not just a coincidence? Another thought is it may be some weird issue with the 6.1 injectors and my PCM. It's not the battery, fuses are fine, grounds are all attached, clean, and tight....WTF?!?!?!

So what numbers do you expect that thing to put down once you are done with it?

Are you gonna swing to the dark side and spray it for a 10?

If I can get deep enough in the 11's then I'll probably toss a 125 shot at it to go 10's....then spend the next couple weeks fixing **** I busted because of it!!!

if u need help or just an extra set of hands id love to help out.

Appreciate the offer but I really have not much of a clue as to what root problem is. I'll contact Superchips tomorrow, yank my intake and swap the injectors and recheck the head grounds and all wiring.

Nope stock trans and driveshaft with 51K. Reinstalled the Edge converter when the motor was out, but aside from that 100% factory.

Wow thought those woulda been done when you just had the heads and 268 on the old setup. Well do you atleast have a drive shaft loop in place for all that power your gonna be sending down it?

Well still haven't figured it out, something electrical is causing this. I've ruled out the battery, wideband, e-fan, Superchips, tried another key, swapped out a slightly funky O2, checked grounds.....next up is to completely remove the alarm(want it out anyway). That doesn't correct it then I'll have to swap in the 5.7 injectors and maybe even toss in a 6.1 cam to get the truck drivable. Something is not allowing Superchips to begin to remove the program or allow me to reset the PCM by pulling the fuse. I hope it the alarm because I'm running out of options, everything went smooth in the install....starting to ******* **** me the **** off just a tad!!!! Anyway big thanks to Randtx(Randy), Sil, and Mark for all the help!!
